Housing Project in Englewood

Plenty of projects are planned for North Jersey in 2005 that will bring significant changes in the real estate market of Bergen County. A few projects include an Englewood complex that will have a health club, a 12-storey office building, parking decks and over 350 apartments. This complex will be constructed on a deserted, 14-acre industrial strip north of Route 4 in Englewood. Valued at $50 million, the Englewood Commons targets young families and will help to bring better homes and facilities to this part of Englewood. It will also help to boost the city’s tax revenues. Also Ridgefield Park and Englewood may witness significant makeovers in their municipalities.

New Rail project for Bergen County

For those living in Bergen County, trains will provide better connectivity in 2005. As per reports coming in early March, the NJ Transit and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey plan to dramatically expand rail service in North Jersey in 2005. The plan valued at $6 billion would connect Passaic, Bergen, Hudson and Essex counties to New York City. This will be a one-seat ride in many cases, eliminating the need for transfers. Known as ARC (Access to the Region?s Core), the plan concentrates on building a new Hudson River tunnel to move trains in and out of Manhattan.

Events for the Weekend

Living in Bergen County can be good with the wide variety of events that happen throughout the year for different age groups. For example this weekend on Saturday, March 12, 2005, Teaneck’s Becton Theater at Fairleigh Dickinson University will host Garage Theatre Group theater arts workshops for Grades 1 to 8 at 3 p.m. On Sunday, March 13, 2005, Bergen County’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade will begin at 1p.m. at National Guard Armory, Teaneck Road and Liberty Street. It will continue north on South Washington Avenue to St. John?s Church, Bergenfield.
