Important! As of June 19 2006 the assignments of children to elementary schools will no longer be based on a geographical residence as was the case up to then. Children will be assigned to an elementary school based on the capacity fulfilment of each school so as not to have one elementary school over crowded while the capacity of another school is under fulfilled.

Proof of Tenafly Residency – All Tenafly residents who are registering new students for the first time must verify their residency at the Superintendent’s office. A List of Identifying documents is required. Click here for the list. Once residence has been established a copy of the notarized Certificate of Residency form and of all the submitted documents will be sent to the school secretaries.
